The total number of registered participants of the Conference was 119: 32 foreign and 87 from Srebia. The participants from abroad were from the following countries: 9 from Romania, 7 from Hungary, 6 from England, 5 from France, and one each from Danmark, Czech Republic, Netherland, Germany, Ukraine.
Among foreign participants 12 were from the field of nautical tourism. It is quite understandable if we know that in this year programme the accent was put on that topic. In this group stand out the following participants:
David Edwards May, vice-president of the International Association of Inland Waterways International, also he is the president of Working Group for standards for inland waterways used by recreational crafts in framework of PIANC and its lifetime member;
Ronald W. Oakley, official representative and founder of world association of Inland Waterways International;
Paul and Patricia Wagstaffe, representatives of British Royal Yachting Association, British Marine Industries Federation, ICOMIA (World Association of Nautical Industry) and IWA (Association of Continental Waterways of Great Britain);
Per M. Bruhn member and official representative of the European boating Association and the president of Boating Association of Denmark;
Christian Schmitter, president of the European Cruising Company from Strasburg ("Croisi Europe" ? who offered that one of the next conferences "Danube ? River of Cooperation" could be held on the ship of this company which should sail along one part of middle Danube);
Jack Harpe de la Garde and Marie Perrichon, members of IWI and the Association and Publishing House "Voies d`eau d`Europe" ("Travelling along European Waterways"), historians and writers of many travels books and about their navigations;
Bill and Laurel Cooper, former captain in British Royal Navy, now the member of Royal Club 200 of the best captains, the member of Association "Blue Flag" (The International Association of Private Barge), together with Mrs. Laurel they have written eight books about their navigations which contain European and North American river-, canal- and sea water ways, the associate of the Nautical Institute of Great Britain. Twice sailed over Rhine-Maine-Danube system (he sails for 57 years).
